Leaving for CRST in 4 days

Hey guys, im new to the forum. Made a similar thread a few days ago but i dont think i put it in the right area.

Im leaving for Oklahoma city, from florida, on sunday the 4th for orientation for CRST. I havnt driven in a little while, and im a little nervous about passing there driving test. Ive had my cdl for 6 years and always did local delivery for pepsi and budweiser. But this will be my first OTR job, which is why im taking it.

Ive read the horror stories about crst on the web, and it seems to me that most of the complaints are coming from people who had to use there school, and didnt want to put any time in before making descent money. I know the co-driver thing could go either way and im hoping i get lucky enough to get one who wants to work hard and make some money. ive slept in my day cab plenty of times in the passenger seat rolling down the road so im not worried about sleeping. I did a few runs with my grandfather when i was younger and i had no problems then, it was alot of fun at that age. im sure it will be fine.

My recruter said im getting .30 for the first 28 days and then .31 when i start co-driving. Along with a $600 sign on bonus, $300 in my first check and $300 30 days later. Hopefully all this pans out, and i get some miles. Im really looking forward to the job and the time on the road.

If anyone has any advice about what to expect at orientation please feel free to let me know...

yeah right now, without going to a school or a refresher they are the only ones that will take me. ive read the horror stories to man, but i havnt read to many complaints from people who went into crst already having there Class A and minimal otr experience. i dont have to sign a contract or anything so it should be ok. im praying i get a good trainer and co driver
