Leaving for Orientation 10-13-12 in Tulsa,Ok

    Well your worrying for nothing,your going to have to go out with a trainer, you tell them when you talk to them about your limited experience which they will already know anyways , you work on your skills in training and forget about all the rest. They won't send you home for a low skill driving issue especially if your trying and simply improve - traineers shouldnt be trainers if they can't help new drivers. Your trainers wasn't born with a shifter in his hand so he probably sucked at some point too. stop worrying , Melton is a lot more concerned about people who are careless and reckless than anything else .

    so even if I have trouble with it at orientation they wont mind? well guess ill give em a call tomorrow. tks for the help

    nah man, they don't even really test you on the downshifting. at least they didnt when I went through. they just want to know that you can handle the truck good.

    Majority of trucks are 10 spd. He does still buy 50 Or so autos per group however

    I got a unicorn load,

    pu @ 9 am phx.az tues., del 8 am Detroit friday, 2073 actual miles , 71 hours to do it, minus the time change hours so we'll say 69. 43k and 40' long , 2'-3' high and I used both my centers. I got out of Alcoa ( yay fall protection ) about 1230 so now its down to 66.5 hours lol. I think I can do it and I love the challenge I drove about 490 til I ran out of hours ( 5 minutes left )and I have 680 to make it to tulsa tommorrow night . really really really want to get this unloaded on friday ( they only take recieving until 11am ) and get a weekend load.
