If it smokes real bad on startup it's carbonated up and will eventually not light all. Worst thing you can do is leave it on all day so it short cycles at stops an fuel ups. They don't heat well below 30f you have to close the curtains to stay warm

Quit being sissies and leave the #### thing off. Just get yourself a warmer comforter for the winter time. And crack your vent when you go to sleep.
Was I right about going to Merritt? -
-
Yeah sometimes they do get backed up. sucks but at least you can stay on site there. maybe this time you'll get the south dakota-iowa run. Those are always super easy to secure/tarp.
Or the 15 stopper through NM-AZ-CA -
Noggin why were you terminated from Melton? I am curious seeing as you drive for PAM and you show desperation to be back on board with Melton
-
Ok...and you are? You join and the same day assume things incorrectly about me.....
-
Hey Noggin, Hope you are healing up so you can rejoin us out here. Going to Laredo with a load that is to go south of the border. What tips can you offer on Laredo in the areas of do/don't? I have a couple of minor maint issues that I would like to get fixed if possible. I will get there on Sunday with sked time of 0800 Monday. I have read the blue manual we got at orientation, but could use some real world guidance.
Azcannon, feel free to put your $0.02 in since it IS your thread! -
Laredo is kinda Go there and experience for yourself. Ask questions when you get there for the stuff you need and don't think all of melton is like Laredo. Laredo is Laredo same as Tulsa is Tulsa and so on but while your there you follow their rules. Honk when you back up goal don't hit stuff ask questions when you don't know what to do, and if you don't like what they say ask someone else. One thing I will say is sign in when you get there. Ask where when you get there. Then sign in. Don't wait.
Triletter Thanks this. -
well i got this a little late...lol how did you like laredo? basically, do not take your truck anywhere. if you HAVE to go to walmart in your truck, go to the one down loop 20. there are two, one 16 miles down, and one just a couple. go to the first one.
they are both good, i'd prefer the second one, but with elogs is hard to get there and back in 30. always try to get there early, dont wait to get to the term so you can sign in. there can be a long line especially when freight is slow. other than that, like cannon said, you just gotta figure it out for yourself lol..
oh, and I am not coming back to Melton. I got a job at FedEx, I go for my road test in the AM at 10. I will still come here, just as I still go to PAM and answer any questions I can, and you guys still have my number. I'm available if you have any questions or need help on how to secure something or what. Or, if you ever get to Houston, hit me up. I'll buy you a beer.
Oh..and I have equipment for the first guy to make it to houston.(straps, bungees, my 4' tarps--but those are not free lol--, etc) I don't know what I'll get rid of since I do plan on buying my own truck still, down the road, but we'll see what happens.
