leaving out with my trainer

that sucks. why they takin you off the road?

 

I think that he was headed out on the road for 4 weeks with his trainer and then back home for a few days then he gets his truck and away he goes. I read it that way to and then thought that is not right. Correct me if I'm wrong. TD.

 

Congratulations! Just remember you are in his/her home so respect will go a long way. If for any reason things don't jive or your trainer sucks speak up and get a different trainer. You won't get penalized. This actually happens quite often. Happened to myself. Hang in there, it will be a whole different world once you get your own truck. When your on your own it will probably take you a few months before you get in the groove of things. Stick it out though, it takes a bit to get used to the lifestyle. I'm sorry to say I witnessed a truck the other day that had a trainee. I approached the driver not knowing at the time he was a trainee to ask about a device I noticed on the rig. I wanted to know how it performed. He then informed me that it belonged to his trainer. The trainer then proceeded to open the truck door to give me a better look.
The truck was to put it mildly, not clean. I know we're busy when out there running but man that was just a shock to see someone operate in that kind off mess.
If I was the trainee I would have had to risk hurting feelings and request a different trainer the minute I saw the interior of that truck.
