Yea the scene where they stopped at the store and Travis threatened to shoot the young guy is the scene that was filmed behind the scale. Before the movie, it was a very old run down closed up mom and pop store/station/ They painted it up and used it in that scene. I got to watch them film that cause I was on the way to work on that road and they had it closed down for filming. Course I was late for work! lol We always called that Egg Farm Road because there was a huge chicken house on it where everyone went and got their eggs. That was years ago before Werner moved there in the old Western Express Terminal- back when Western had large cars.

Dyed fuel is untaxed fuel, to only be used off road. (loaders, farm equipment, reefers, etc). And since taxes are something like 40c of a gallon of fuel it's a big deal.

It's a big problem in farm states (obviously) and yep, i've had my tanks "dipped" too.

it's a BIG deal if you get caught running dyed fuel on the road. Pickups too (farmers again)

Remember the state cares a whole lot about their revenue, not so much about other stuff.

Took me a while, but I finally located and converted the movie. This scale house part was not up on youtube so I added it.
