Same here. Had to move to Alberta because of it. Paid better in construction, just not enough work to keep me steady.

 

Not sure where you're from 'beets', but I have to tell ya ( Google CTV.ca or CBC.ca news for proof ) BC and AB are actively recruiting trades personal from the US and Europe ( namely the Commonwealths of Scotland, England, and Ireland { N & S }. Trades mostly in construction related fields. BC did trade shows in CA, OR, WA, and NV over the past 2 weeks looking for everything fron apprentice carpenters to building automation technicians ( If I knew what the **** that meant, I'd apply ...). So there seems to be a need for builders SOMEWHERE .........


................. and drivers to get the stuff to the builders ...............

 

Don't throw nothin' .......... I know that North Ireland, and (The Repuplic Of) Ireland are two diferent planets ... I 'ave family in both ...... I was simplifing for the un-educated masses ....
