Puzzling but good luck. It's too bad you're not giving Garner a shot though. They sound pretty decent and have a longer training period than some I've been hearing about. The pay is a little low but their running area seems good. I take it your doing flatbed with Maverick?
leaving with my trainer on monday

Well it looks like this is the end of my trucking adventure. My previous company saw this thread before I had a chance to talk to them about it and I was terminated. Which makes me non-rehireable and no company wants me now. So lesson learned here!!! Never post anything on the internet. I dont blame them though they have to protect their company and they lost money with me not wanting to continue there. Trucking is a very unforgiving industry and I shot myself in the foot big time. Ill give werner a chance and see what they say but so far its not looking good. Anyone know any companies that would be interested or should I just chalk this up to a life lesson and find some other work.

How did they know it was you. There must be a million mikes in my state alone. -

What at was the reason they gave for termination? -
Shoot for smaller companys, list your exsperiance but omitt the contact info, if questioned tell them why your listed non rehirable and sugest they ask when they verify your employment. Then if they say no call your preveios as a employer and ask about yourself. May be able to figure out what there saying thats keeping people from concidering you

What was so bad about this thread, that they got upset? Am I missing something?
OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
Mike, dont let anyone silence your opinion.
Go elsewhere, and be a truck driver,if that's what you really wanna do.
Everyone has an opinion, yours unfortunately was used against you.
Head up,and go forward.Good luck! -
The 71089 is my birthdate so it was easy to figure out that it was me. Trucking is what ive wanted to do since i was a kid. I can understand their anger at this thread if i had been bashing them or something but i never slandered the company. Id still tell anyone who asked to go work for them. It just wasn't where my heart was. I went to ending orientation and was going to give them my two weeks notice at the end of it and talk it over. Figured they would just not dispatch me and put me on some unpaid leave or something. It just has to do with the cost of training me and the hit they had to take because of it. So i understand why it ended up this way. Sadly though i zero chance at maverick because im not re-hireable. Actually i talked to about 4 other companies that said the same thing. Im not giving up though...i worked too hard to get my cdl and im determined to make a decent life for my family.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Try Paschall Truck Lines; pretty good dry van company that runs Eastern half of USA.
Western Express will also probably hire you; they run 48 states.
Navajo Express might hire you; they run 48 states.
Halvor Lines is another to try.
Comet Transportation - Harvey, IL
PI & I Transportation - Masury, OH
