Exercise? Or maybe see a specialist and see what the real problem is?
But I personally think it’s just laziness and they want a auto.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
I don't know if this is real or a joke but either way.
I hold the steering wheel with my left hand also.
Right in between my two middle fingers.
About a year ago I hopped into a new truck.
All it had was that hard plastic steering wheel.
Three or four months later I noticed that every morning when I woke up I could barely open my hand up.
I thought I was getting arthritis.
It would take me 15 minutes of opening and closing my hand to get it to feel normal.
So I grab a padded steering wheel cover from the truckstop and a pair of those driving gloves with the fingers cut out .
They actually have extra padding on the palm and in between the fingers right where I hold the steering wheel.
Haven't had a problem since.
It soaks up that constant vibration on your hands.
I thought drivers wore them just to look cool but they freaking work. Best 10 bucks you can spend.Last edited: Jun 13, 2018

My mom told me when I was a boy to much use of my left hand would give me hairy palms and make me go blind .

My pa fell off his ladder some time ago trimming those stupid hedges that he trimmed for 40 years. Well it busted him at impact. He has a new metal shoulder now. Give it 15 more years and they might replace it if he hangs around that long.
with that said. Early arthritis is no joke. Im full blown Osteo. About system wide in my early 50's diagnosed in my late 40's and confirmed through a special form of Xray survey. Roughly 30 years ahead of expected lifetime onset.
What I do fear is pathological bone failure. Where the "Steel" of the bone itself fails under ordinary loading such as walking or coughing etc. If it breaks somewhere in my system, they will be looking to see if that is the case. -
could be a sign you need to use your other hand occasionally? -
@ichudov
Do you "crack"/stretch your thumb/palm connection?
You need to stop.
You are irritating the ligaments in that area. I had same issue years ago. The cracking/stretching felt soooooo good, but I started losing gripping power.
I could not even hold a pen steady.
