Scottie, you do have one wild imagination... Spent time thinking it over... Even creating a complete back story for your character of your little story.... HIgh School, prior jobs, showing off that old manager... Priceless...
Maybe you should create made for tv show for Lifetime... "Will Not Be Denied... A Truckers Story".... You already have one character created... Oh wait, maybe two... Toss in his know it all "safety sidekick" and you have a story of the ongoing saga of a mismatched team of drivers as they criss cross the country...
Pull in story lines and combine from both "BJ and the Bear" and "The Odd Couple" and you have at least three years of shows for syndication after the first movie has been release on Lifetime and then goes viral on the inter-webs.
Then you can retire...
Both Right and Rich!!!

I'll vote for stupid, since there is no sense making the effort to walk. Just stand there. The street doesn't have to be dark, either.scottied67 Thanks this. -

allowing Scotty and Roadreject to disseminate BAD knowledge about the trucking industry
brings everyone down
these are the people that ruin driving because new people think they are correctMidWest_MacDaddy and Blackshack46 Thank this. -
Since then, roughly 3.5 million miles later, I have not had an accident on public roads that I was at fault in, or had any related moving violations.
I have also not had a speeding ticket in a truck in at least 27 years, and, no, I have not been driving governed trucks all of the time.
Nobody needs to take my advice. Join the other sheep and stand in line for the nonsense flavored koolaid that truckers prefer.
I'll continue getting to where I need to be, usually when I need to be there, and without a ticket or incident I am at fault for.
Scotty may be stupid. I don't know him. I'm not sure he is as stupid as the JCT driver who counted on somebody to let him in at the last minute, or not?
I admit, I'm not a 'professional' trucker. I haven't had a CB in years in the truck. I don't have a bluetooth thing on my head.
Never owned a pair of fingerless gloves. Never even bought any of those plastic cowboy boots the truck stops used to sell 20-30 years ago.
I just drive a truck, get paid for it, and do it without tickets, accidents, or buying into a lot of hand wringing silly stuff. -
if you think Scooty was right your a foolBlackshack46 Thanks this. -
I don't think I ever said he was right, he's just not wrong under the law.
Just like careful drivers have to expect all other drivers may do something stupid, dangerous, stupid drivers like JCT need to understand they may run into another driver who is at least more stubborn than they are, and maybe as stupid.
The difference is, Scotty would not be ticketed unless he was very stupid and told the cop he sped up to cut the jerk off.
I may be a fool. I don't tailgate. I actually use my turn signals. I slow down in work areas, and generally stay close to the posted speed limit. I know it's not normal in trucking.
I've learn to assume the steering wheel holders in the trucks are as idiotic as the people in the four wheelers. I just do my thing, sit back, and watch the chaos.scottied67 and rachi Thank this.
