I have an Orion II with a 5.9 Cummins engineSpeedy356, Sirscrapntruckalot, broke down plumber and 1 other person Thank this. -
You need 24v to jump it.
Those little Orions are a pain to work on.
If the batteries are in a compartment under the driver's window, you should be able to hook a 24v jump pack to the big terminal near the 24v battery switch.
Hook the negative to one of the front lug nuts.
Turn both battery switches ON.
Go inside the bus, close the driver's window, and try to start the bus.
DO NOT reach in thru the window to hit the start button.....that places you MUCH TOO CLOSE to the batteries if something goes horribly wrong.
If it's the Orion II/III with the batteries under the floor, you're on your own.
If you don't have a 24v jump pack, hook two 12v packs together in series.MemphisOrion Thanks this. -
Sirscrapntruckalot and homeskillet Thank this.
