The OP states he's at a truck stop and needs to unwind. If I were you I'd find a different way to unwind. Of course the best way would be to run but that has it's danger's. Maybe you might want to look it a small type of treadmill you could from the side box and go from there. Just a thought.

Please read it again I said if he was at home out with his buddy and his buddy got pulled over and he got mouthy with the police and they tested him for alcohol they can shut him down for 24hrs. I did not say anything about coming to the driver's house. And this info came from a DOT Officer in OHIO.

The officer told me that any trace of alcohol in your system is detected and it is under the legal limit that they can still shut you down for 24hrs.
    because you have a CDL.
Now do they do this often no they don't but if you are a $ss hole to them he said they do have that right to do so.

Now I am just quoting a DOT Officer this is not a reply to start or hear any BULL**** it is not my place to argue this with a DOT Officer or you for all that matters. Sorry if I made you angry that was not my intentions. I don't know all the laws so until proven differently I will just have to take the Officer at his word.

With that said, I just called my boss and told him if he wants me to have a test then I require at least 5 days advance notice to study for it!

Well okay, there inlies the misunderstanding. You said "home" and I construed that to mean at home literaly. But you were implying "home" to mean said CDL holder was really not at home per se, rather out on the town, or on the road with his drinking buddies. Near his home (town).

My mistake in attempting to understand your message, was me trying to interpret that message laced with your bad writing skills. But hey, no offence. I think I know what you were trying to say.

That is why I gave the EXAMPLE so that people would not misunderstand what I was trying to say. No harm done but maybe your reading skills is just as bad as my writing. LOL!!! Drive safe this was fun...

As most have said here, one or two beers while on the road is not worth the risks involved.

Save it for hometime...your tolerance will be less that way anyway. :biggrin_25525:

I get the impression that he did not mean for them to come into his house. I think his meaning was he is on hometime(home) and went out with friends.

Even when your at home you need to be careful.DONT DRINK AND DRIVE. The levels are lower if you have a cdl. Remember everything you do in your personal vehicle effect your CDL. BE CAREFUL.
