Cascadias (both the Classic and the new ones)have collision avoidance technology but I think its a customer option. And even then the system isn’t foolproof,if any debris (dirt,grit,snow,etc.) obstructs the radar housing in the front bumper the system can actually be disabled,which would in turn also disengage the cruise control. Plus,the system can also give false alarms,slamming the brakes on when there isn’t anything in front of the truck ,especially if you’re approaching an underpass (bridge,tunnel-especially with reflective signs mounted overhead).

Yeah, that happened to me once when approaching a bridge overpass out in the middle of nowhere. The system slamed on the brakes for about 2 seconds. If the road would have been icy I would have been screwed.
