I dodged a chunk of metal about 0430 this morning but it took out the airline to the brake can. Pulled off the next ext when I saw smoke & the brake drum caught fire as soon as I stopped . Called the FD as I mtyd my fire extinguisher & the fire went out on it's own before they arrived. took till 0830 to get a service truck to cage the can & replace airline &1100 before I got someone to change out tire. Luckily I'm payed by the hr because I put in a 13hr day & did 1 load 220mls.
