I have never had such a bad experience before. Lenny's Towing might be OK if not for the owner, Lenny Mongo, being such a greedy know nothing jerk.

I first called his shop after searching Towing Delran because I had a shipping container full of equipment that I needed moved to a new job site. They quoted me a fair price and promised next day pick up, which all sounded good. They called me on the day of pickup and had to reschedule because all of their trucks were down for repair. No problem.

Two days later they finally showed up to ship my container, and it took their guy a half day to get the thing loaded on. First he said he didn't have the correct attachments, then after an hour of him being on the phone with his boss (Lenny Mongo) he said he found out what how to load my container. Not very professional.

The problems really began when the driver took a couple of wrong turns (so he told me) and arrived two hours after he told me he would be there. When he finally unloaded my container, I found that it was missing a couple of high value items (welding and cutting equipment).

I called Lenny Mongo, the boss, to tell him my problem, and he told me "there is no proof so there is nothing that I can do" - the thing is, I had taken a photo of the inventory before they picked up the container. When I told this to the boss, he said he would look into.

A week later I called back to find out what they were going to do, and Lenny Mongo was rude and impatient with me as he explained that "these things happen, and I just have to deal with it".

What kind of service is this! I cannot believe that a company that treats customers like this is still in business. Needless to say, I have filed a police report, and am awaiting a full investigation.

All I can say is to stay FAR AWAY from this SHADY COMPANY and its rude, disrepectful owner, Lenny Mongo.

@Towing Master, if you have proof the welding equipment was in the can before they moved it, I personally think a lawsuit is in order IMO.

    Where are you located?

ok seriously, here is the way i look at it. yes, you had pics of the load, but what proof do you have that they were up to date pics? i mean, anyone can take pics at anytime. let me explain.

i had to take pics of my dad's car that someone claimed he hit them.

i took pics, using the current day's front page newspaper, and to this day, i still have that newspaper, as it "dates" the day the pics were taken. but now, even if you took such pics, you could be told that you removed some things, before the driver arrived.

so therefore, it would have been best(??) to have taken pics, with the driver standing in them!

this way, his driver was there, the items were there, you have proof on arrival of your items, something was/is missing!

you will have to get an attorney and sue them, they may actually be guilty, then again maybe not, who knows? maybe someone other than you unlocked the doors, took the items, and locked it back up again, right?

maybe you'll get a "settlement", but perhaps not to the full value.

i wish you well, but ponder in the future how and when, you take pics?

Why did you not have a manifest of what was in the load and confirmed the items with a drivers signature and pictures? Why was the container not locked securely?
In this day and age, you have to check and double check then lock it down or your just asking for trouble.

Shipping anything you got to have locks, seals, photos, and manifest. If your honestly dealing with welding equipment you know you aught to have serial numbers on everything. Welding equipment walking away is super common, you got to know that. You got that, file a claim with their insurance company. You don't got that - well its on you.

My favorite part is when you explained you had been ripped off, and the guy says, " Well these things happen. " lol.

As I was reading, and you said a few hour, alleged wrong turn, detour, I thought yea, so they could inventory and steal your stuff, and poof here we are.
