    Hello,
First time poster here, I have recently graduated from NETTS CDL coyrse here in Mass. and recieved my CDL. I had a job lined up with ROEHL's and we were going through the paperwork. When the recruiter ran my MVR it came up that I had been reissued my license in June of last year , thats when he told me they need at least 2-3 years previous driving experience.

I am 43 years old I recieved my license back when I was 17. In 1990 I sold a car to a friend and left my license plate on it for a month or so and during this time little did I know it was being ticketed.Anyway when it was time to renew my license I owed somewhere of $600.00 in tickets. This is where the irresponsible part kicks in.I never renewed my license and one thing lead to another and I drove for 15 years without a license.( Yea I Know)

Last year I finally came too, I decided that it was time to get my life together,I went through the courts, registry , hearings and paid all my fines.Like I said I completed my CDL course and life was good until The MVR report. That kind of caught me off guard, when the recruiter asked me why I had been driving for only a year I was speechless.I didnt know what to say. The report also has it down that my license was suspended and I had a warrant out,

Well like I said everything is cleared up here I am a holder of a CDL License and now I am a nervous wreck wondering if this is going to come back and haunt me with all my job applications. How do i explain that to the next recruiter down the road ,It is not something I am proud of.Any advice would be appreciated.

ROEL is one of the more pickier companies...
You may be able to find a job, just be up front and tell them about your driving recored..
You may find yourself in this situation as well.. They tell you on the phone everything is good to go, you go of to orientation, you find yourself looking for a way home from orientation, why? becuase some companies actually don't check crap till you get there then send you out the door..

Most do require 3 years wit no major, I think suspension for 2 of the 3 would be a major..

You may want to check companies like USA Truck, STAR, and your very last option and I do mean last option Werner...

To add on to truckerjo's comments:

keep in mind that a lot of companies hire or recruit from areas where it is not uncommon for people to NOT have their license as an adult

    (NYC / Philly etc etc)

this is not realy a big deal for you - just a big deal to Roehl.
