In 2016 i wasnt working from January to August. I went to trucking school in September 5th and got my license in october 24th. I started getting paychecks November 3rd. My w2 for 2016 was only for those two months, but my 2017 w2 has me working all 12 months. I have worked every month so far for 2018. I found a house i like and now in a binding contract. Will i be denied a loan?

Depends on your credit score, history and liquid cash down payment. If those things are all excellent you can probably get past the short work history with a number of banks. A hefty cash down-payment can erase lots of other issues.. (25-40% down or more)

I started in trucking on May 2015, bought house on March 2018....( Even that I manage to work for 3 different companies).
It all depends what situation you had before trucking in terms of savings.

It would be much better to ask this question to the mortgage broker or the bank you plan to get a mortgage loan through.

If one mortgage company can’t help you go to another and another till you find a good one. Many will make promises and not pull through. Nowadays most Real Estate agencies have a pre - approval done with their Chosen Mortgage person before they will bother with you .I bought house 6 yrs ago and did my own Shoppjng for Mortgage as I always have. My Agent kept warning me and sure enough Mortgage Broker left me hanging at last minute. Luckily my Agent and his Mortgage Lady were able to put together a very good Real Deal. Good Luck watch out for empty promises.
