I'm not against leasing, buying new, buying old, or running company, every situation is different for everyone. Some people can make any situation work for them. Some people are content with the situation they are in regardless of how good or bad it may be. What I can tell you is, if you have a clean record and you are only making $1.18/mile, you have much more potential. If you are happy at $1.18, imagine how much happier you could be at $1.50, $1.80, $2.20, and so on.

I'm not obese, but I could stand to lose 15 lbs.

For some reason I really don't feel like replying to anything else that the OP said. I have a feeling that he's going to be one and done anyway. -
Hmmm... well I have a degree, not a masters but whateves. I drive because I like it, not because I have to. I do not think I would ever lease a truck, my wife (who does have a masters) and I are working numbers for our own purchased truck. Just watching what the rates do. I can't imagine being tied to a truck payment and only making average of 1.18 a mile. I mean after truck, fuel, maintenance, my time, ect... it does not make the numbers, at least that we have crunched. Our plan is to get our own truck and run owner op for a company for a bit, like a learning phase for the two of us, just to nail down the business aspects, then get our own authority. We have our lanes and shippers developed, and are now simply building our starting capital (we want a big purse to start with). But I personally would never lease anything. Business wise, if I'm paying a huge note on something, I need to be building equity in it. But, that's just me. I'm sure there are opposed views. Either way I'm glad it works for you and you are happy!

The only thing I got out of the OP's post is he thinks men 400+ pounds and women 300+ pounds only visit T/As. Apparently he hasn't paid much attention to the other truckstops. The rest of his drivel wasn't worth letting sink in because he thinks everyone who is not like him is wrong.
Oh, and in before the lock.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
I'm 400 pounds and loosing. I can make 45-50 a year and be home daily and off most weekends. So sorry ya hate us fat people. We just don't make the right choices and it catches up. Live and learn. Have fun sleeping in a truck 6 weeks at a time. I'll happily ride my bike and drink a beer on the weekends with my family for ya.

I dated 3 separate 100lb women before...not at the same time, mind you. Lol. They also weren't bad.

The whole post is pretty sad, op is clearly a miserable person.
I guess I would be to if I was made to believe a 1.18 was ok and then
Oh crap nevermindEeyore05 Thanks this. -
