So do all those people who are sitting home right now out of work.. You aren't nothing special. You aren't a special snow flake more important than any of them. To be quite frank if you can't sit at home for 2 weeks with out going broke and you have done this a while you should maybe find a new profession.
Let us not forget those working the truck stops!

I stopped using the truck stop showers last week. I got some baby wipes at Walmart, that does a good enough job until I get home. Fortunately for me I do get home every weekend.

basically let's try to keep this constructive and not destructive when we debate. We all have our rights to our opinions.
I'd suggest getting some disposable food worker gloves for the times you have to get out of the truck. Then just toss them in the trash before you get back in your truck. Exercise the 6 foot rule, and take care of the items you bring out of stores back to your vehicle. These steps will protect you and those you might infect.
During the Spanish Flu Pandemic, which this isn't. Philadelphia suffered twice as many deaths per 1k than St Louis. Because they didn't isolate and take precautions. So it can help.Linte_Loco and tarmadilo Thank this. -

And a thought to consider. Personally I never get within 300 miles of the house I own. My kids are grown and live far from that house. It's currently occupied by a young couple with 2 kids to keep it mowed and shoveled and looking occupied. So if I don't stay in my truck I'm jeopardizing a young household. And yes... I'm sick. Not the coughing sneezing, but the headache exhausted and possibly occasional fever. Could be a regular flu. I could be on deaths doorstep in the morning, who knows. I'm being as responsible as I can think to be, both to myself and everyone I come close to when out of my truck.
Point being, it's easier to decide what others ought to do before we know the exact details of their lives. Once you get into the nitty gritty of it, it's often obvious that they're doing the best they can.Just passing by, LoSt_AgAiN and Linte_Loco Thank this. -
