I think that is what New York is worried about right now.
Too many critical patients and not enough ventilators to go around will mean they have to choose who gets treated and who is simply left to die.

Another thing endangering truck stop employees is all the rotten apples of truck drivers not washing their hands afterward. It’s a gross and unsanitary habit that nobody should do in general but especially at this time.

 

Figuratively self gratification is more appealing than the company of a lot lizard.

Some of the states are on lockdown except for the essential, some are not as of yet.
Those states on lockdown will only have essential freight going in or out because everything else will be shut down.

As long as there is freight to move truckers are essential to the country, no matter where or what.
If the entire country goes into lockdown except for the essential then that will be what all trucks are carrying, and nothing else.
At that point some of us might be going home if there are too few loads, but we are not there yet.

At this point, if too many truck drivers shelter away then they will be putting everyone else at a greater risk for no good reason.
Maybe not risk of getting the virus from them, but from every other aspect of life.

What you are saying is the more selfish thing, in my opinion.

 

Sorry dude but some little fab shop, car dealer or who ever trying to ship something because they are still open is NOT essential.. They just have bad judgment and like many here refuse to accept the scope of the #### we are in right now.. Food, medical supplies, fuel, oil and #### to keep the system up and running are what is essential.. Even truck tires yea that #### is essential but carrying random #### for a construction job or cars or anything that isn't required to keep society rolling is not essential..

I get it.. Trump is sending mixed signals and that's why so many people are ignoring this because he is failing to lead in this crisis. Look at what every single EXPERT has said. Every single one has said STAY THE #### HOME. There is a reason they are ALL saying that..

Because if you don't and people keep ignoring this #### and pretending it's a nuffin burger we will be at 600k-1 million deaths by the end of the year. We had 160ish deaths yesterday we are over 800 total today. The state of Louisiana stated yesterday they they will not have the beds to handle their outbreak by next month.

We are keeping the deaths kinda low at the moment, but every state hit hard is already screaming for ventilators. NYC needs 20k ventilators right now, the US govt sent them 600. ventilators are the only thing that keeps people in critical condition alive..

We will see mass deaths if this infection rate continues because the hospitals will be over whelmed.. Italy today has nearly 8k deaths that's more than China reported. Italy has been on complete lock down for a week.... The US will be at Italy's death rate but with a much bigger population if we do not curb this RIGHT NOW.. It's not next week or the week after that we need to be staying the #### home RIGHT NOW..
