If you notice in the first pic there is a big patch job below the W on the roof. I have no idea what they did but I'm guessing a tree may have been involved. There was also a patch job on the right side of the hood, near the headlights. Again, no idea what they did.
I called that truck 'Frankenstein'.
I only had one mechanical issue with it and that was a cap on the drive shaft had come loose. The whole thing had to be taken off and reassembled so I was down for a few days in Atlanta for that. Other than that, I had no issues with it at all..well that and it had no cab curtains. They must have been ripped out or something.
Oh and one time driving through Nashville the front outside cover on the right side door mirror popped open and was sticking out 90 degrees. I had a Landstar look at me like I'm an idiot, thinking I had done that intentionally but truth be told it happened like a minute before he passed me. I was trying to get over to the right lane so it wouldn't be in anyone's way and get to the TA in Antioch where I could fix it. I ended up buying a few long bolts and some washers to fix it so it wouldn't happen again.
I think I only had that truck for 6 months before it was brought to Atlanta and traded in where I got another one just like it but with less damage. I tried for a Pete, like what my trainer had, but they said it was either another Century or a long nose Kenworth. I opted for the Century.![]()

got it from john deere, where else? don't forget that the ultra polish will remove the marks off the paint where you accidentally touch with the metal polish rag... its also good for removing those tenacious mechanic paw prints from the hood and doors, too.
pull into any dealership, most have it, unless i clean them out as i usually do when i do get to them. they do heavy haul, so they obviously can't gripe about a mere semi pulling in, can they? -

I guess a few years from now I will be able to say this was my first truck. Unfortunately right now I have to say this is my first truck, since I'm stuck with it. I realise its not quite as big as most of your guys' trucks, but the concept is the same. Gotta start somewhere. Being 18, this is my start.
