Ok so it hadn't occurred to me to ask.... and I don't do so to be crude, but after the 2nd or 3rd time I got up last night to.... relieve myself... I got to wondering how truckers handle this....

I've read about "piss bottles"... Sounds unsanitary, bu when you have to go you have to go....

I'm only asking because I don't know, and I'd like to get an idea before I'm on the road....

Thanks all, and happy new year.

Why do you think the one liter sodas are always 2 for $3? Depending on where you are the bathroom could be a short walk away, or it could be all the way across the huge lot and its 15 degrees out, 3am and you gotta go now. If i need to 'reuse' a bottle, it gets thrown out asap, after i put it in a plastic bag, in a trash can. There is no need to throw em in the lot itself.

Have you checked your blood sugar, or are you a diabetic? You shouldn't be getting up like that in the middle of the night to urinate, epecially not multiple times. This could be a clue to you getting a shot at reversing a terrible disease.

07-379Pete and Diesel Dave Thank this.

I'd check into it then, just to be on the safe side. Do you drink a lot of fluids right before bed?

Go get you a couple of those big 64oz cups from the pilot and a few liter bottles. Be resposible though and don't dump them in the parking lot.

I don't buy this "theory".......If I believed that, then a person would only "go" 3 times a 24 hr day. At 6 when you get up, then at 2pm, then again at 10 pm when you go to bed.

Neither do I. I don't go several times per night. But most nights I'd say I go an average of once non unlike most male men.

I had an intimate relationship with my urologist about a year back and everything was fine.

I appreciate the concern and advice though.

I can't remember the last time I had to go during my sleep period.-- And I'm in my mid forties. I have to go when I wake up, but not urgently.

I think your level of hydration has a lot to do with it. Hydrate well when you start, and during your "day". But back off several hours before bunk time.
