Letter of Intent to Hire

Just apply online to the major companies ie. Werner Enterprise, Schneider, US Express, etc..... A recruiter will call you and help you through the process.

 

you shouldn't be posting ur name,where you live or your e-mail on here. you live in texas. I would talk to stevens transport. I have heard some pretty good things about them from there drivers and trainers. they hire students. I would stay away from the major fleets if at all possible. but, you do have to admit. that it is a smart move the texas workforce department is doing. the reason they are asking for a letter of intent. many of the states have sent people to driving school. and then no trucking company would hire them. and right now. colleges and techinical schools are being investigated for federal grant fruad. they call them for profit schools. with money running out. and a govornment shut. states aren't willing to take any chances with limited funds.


so some good advice. your just starting out. so i would fill out an application. all you have to show is the last 3 years of employment. send the app in to the companies you want to work for. then call them to let them know you sent your application in. get them to review it. and tell them that you need a letter of intent to hire. and explain why you need it. you might get better results then asking on here.

 

TMC trans gave me a pre hire letter that basically said, "pending completion and passing CDL School" they would hire me. Give them a call. if you have a clean driving record you should be able to get them to give you the same thing.
