why even buy trailers. just let them run your authority.

I used to have friends running under ours. We would charge them 10% if I found them loads or 5% if they found their own

 

ya. you can get a bunch of guys to tear up your trailers. lol... you could charge a higher percentage if pulling your wagon that's what you can do. Like I said these were friends.

the checks came to us and I cut them their checks and did the paperwork. that's what I charged the 5% for. these people usually loaded themselves

That ain't a new idea, many do it... LS, CRST, Schneider, JB Hunt, Mercer,Daily, and several thousand more. What can you offer that someone else doesn't?

Most of the drivers wanting in on your deal are going to be broke and wanting you to front them running money, if they are good business people and making money they will be able to work on their own authority or get a good lease.

 

Who pays for the piss tests? You or them?

Insurance? Did your insurance go up after they leased on?
