For officer safety CVSA doesn't allow them to measure any position they find a bad brake chamber on, so that would exclude 1 axle but the other should have been measured.

the hole in the chamber is because the truck is 18 years old and the camber is rusting...lol and so the chamber needs to be replaced.

there is a metal mount bolted to the floor i had just taken it out of the mount because it was in the way and didn't put it back.

the issues have to be corrected then i sign off on the inspection saying i corrected them and then mail it to the dot

You’re making sure he can’t see metal. That’s all. Is it a fix, no it’s a bluff. I would say hope like hell he doesn’t call your bluff.

I have done this before, and was inspected exactly one time while i had some black silicone on a tire. The inspector said nothing about it.

When i pulled waste i had a vac pump & a wet line on my truck. I spent a lot lf time in landfills, i had a lot of tires that looked like the Op’s. I used it as a cheap trick to get me home. *even as a company driver i do think about the bpsses bank account. If i run him out of money, i run myself out of a job. Lol

How is that heavy duty windshield adhesive? It is heavy duty and people use it to fix their motor mounts with it. It's like $20 a tube. Just a thougtht.

so the inspection finally showed up on the safer sys website and it shows that i was placed oos on that inspection. i sent a request for review in threw the dataQ system. witch is not very easy to figure out how to navigate btw

this was my reason i gave why it should be reviewed
    -----------------
What data should be reviewed and why:
    OOS vehicle inspection incorrectly reported

i received a level one inspection on 10/27/2018
on this inspection a "non manufactured rust hole" was found on a single brake chamber. this was the only break violation found on a 7 axle truck/trailer combination. the officer did not place my vehicle out of service and no OOS sticker was issued. the violation was marked OOS on the inspection report. When i asked the officer for clarification he said i was not out of service and i could continue on and get the problem fixed before my next dispatch.

grater than 80% of my brakes had no defects meaning i did not meet the criteria for a oos violation and i would like the reported information to reflect that my vehicle was not placed oos in that inspection.

    Thank you.
    -----------------
all the information report number yadda yadda is attached to the data q i also attached an pdf format of the inspection to it as well.

data Q assigned the review to go to the nd highway patrol witch is the agency that gave the inspection, so i guess its a wait and see from here.

I guess my tire needs replacement before I get my annual inspection or worse a dot inspection? I've got 3 tires like this... only 150k on them 20181030_165009.jpg

if it wasn't for all the csa score bs i wouldn't really care they didn't issue me any citations or make me pay any fines. but i don't want my usdot # to show my vehicle was placed OOS when it was not nor did the violation meet the criteria to be placed OOS.

your probably ok, what made mine a violation was that there was some steel showing in one spot about the size of a dime, if you have no steel or belting showing where your chunking out and have legal tread depth you should be ok, but they will defiantly look closely at them.

Ya, I dont have any steel or belting showing. I looked closer at your picture I can see that little bit of steel showing.
