Was it a new young buck from the NDHP? Lol! I was placed OOS back in 03 on the Garrison dam with 6 axles total. Had 3 brakes out of adjustment. He let me adjust them and roll. Just depends on what kind of day they're having I guess.
level 1 out of service yet not out of service

yeah the main guy doing the inspection was certainly as green as they come and eager to find anything he could. the 2nd guy seemed to be training him as the main guy doing the inspection kept asking the other one a lot of questions.
he kept asking him different ways to get the trailer abs light to self check i humored him but i knew nothing was going to work as the abs light on the trailer has been unplugged for probably 10 years....lol but i wasn't going to tell him that, they normally don't check.Crude Truckin' and Tug Toy Thank this. -
Let us know what the response ends up being. I had a chamber on the tractor that they found a slow leak on. They placed out of service and made us do a road call to replace before heading out. But with this 80% rule now I wonder if it should be challenged? Never had heard of that.
One time a driver didn’t have his eye glasses with him and they gave him an out of service but let him go. Of course showed up on the report as OOS.
Can be frustrating sometimes! Sometimes when you have a string of bad luck you almost want to get pulled in and inspected because your score doesn’t reflect how hard you work at it and invest in equipment.Tug Toy, Crude Truckin' and gokiddogo Thank this. -
ill defiantly let you guys know what happens when i know, have not heard from them yet and the oos inspection still shows on the safer sys website. i don't really expect a intimidate response though.Last edited: Nov 6, 2018

Crazy how in depth they go with otr truckers. They don’t do that stuff locally. Never had a cop check my dash lights. Everyone I know pulls the bulb on abs light. Working in construction and running over stone, all our tires are missing chunks
