Take what?
Seriously…
It’s an inspection, the violations are on you and your company and it isn’t like getting a ticket where you have a fine and points.
wonder what happened is he was an Ohio enforcement officer who would have told you you’re out of service for 10?
Level three inspection. Do I have to turn it in to my company?

Bunch of csa points multiplied by 3 for the first year.
A warning is worse than a citation. You can't fight it, but it carries all the severity on your csa score.
Failing the logs part was just a bonus.
So that one stop, you probably have about 30 csa points now.
Yes. You absolutely have to turn it in to your carrier.
Or don't if you want to change jobs.D.Tibbitt, austinmike and Siinman Thank this. -
If the carrier is on the ball, they review their Safety Management System every month on the Federal webs.
It lists every roadside inspection report for the past two years; takes a month to get on there but they will see it if they are looking.
Your carrier will know, there are a few states that will contact them if it is not mailed back too.
Even No Violation inspections are good as they help lower the point totals of violations found, some carriers give a bonus to independents getting them. -
Instead of complaining about "taking it" he should be grateful he didn't end up in a ditch.Last edited: Feb 17, 2022
Malt Ball Cult, D.Tibbitt, nredfor88 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Did you cause a wreck or run off the road, or just cross the lines a bit?
If your company raises hell about some piddly little violations like that... Then maybe you should find another company. If no harm done then they shouldnt do more than a slight scolding and slap on the wrist.
But with all that said, it closer attention to your driving...D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
If you would have gotten a ticket for that "failure to maintain lane" it is very possible that it could have been considered a serious moving violation.
If you get a couple of those within a certain time frame, you would probably be looking for another job. -
