with most companies you stand a likely hood of being fired for not reporting the ticket at the time it happened

Did you drive while you had a suspended license?

If so then you may get fired when the employer finds out your license was suspended,

Take a personal, vacation, day and get it sorted out and tell them you have to go to DMV and get it sorted out. Then give a copy if the paperwork that day your license is reinstated.

We just had a MN driver get busted in WI for having an expired license, it was over by 30 days, he forgot. WI gives no leeway for non-current or suspended CDL's. You're lucky you haven't gotten caught as it's a criminal offense in WI to not have a current CDL. Between lawyer and court costs he's out almost $1500.

Of course you tell your employer and don't return to work till your DL is reinstated.

    Sublime and wolfie6248 Thank this.

If you got suspended there might be a reinstatement fee that you have to pay. This is on top of the ticket. Better check it out before you drive. You are suspended until you have evidence you aren't. Be honest about it. Nip it in the bud before it can become a bigger issue.

You should get someone to drive you to get the paperwork, bring it to the proper person to get it all straightened out ASAP.
Your employer needs to know what is going on the entire time.
