License to drive a Sprinter or other small Truck

    I agree. However they asked so I told them. Best bet is get a cdl b and get into as straight truck. Owners are always looking for teams, especially same household.

    Is there money being a cargo van O/O and driving it yourself?

    More than there is RV hauling . You can make it with a good used truck but you won't get rich .

    Last year when I was researching getting into hot-shotting as an o/o that was pretty much the consensus from reading a few forums. I also talked to a logistics firm here in town and they said there is a glut of o/o cargo vans (reaffirming what the forums said) and I would be far better off with a Sprinter van because it has larger capacity (so I could accept more loads than if I had a cargo van).

    There was speculation that there seemed to be a swarm of newbies just jumping in blindly when 'Shipping Wars' first aired a few years ago. A lot of them didn't do their homework first and were lucky to break even. And the lifestyle of living in a van for weeks at a time is something to really think about. Just my 2 cents.
