So did you get a ticket? Was this on a roadway or parking lot, shipper etc...? That's going to make a big difference! If this was a parking lot incident or something you will most likely be ok in getting another job. As a professional driver you should know better than to do that, but everyone makes mistakes. Don't ever do that again! On a side note, I would be fully prepared to get the bill for that one!
Life after an unreported incident?

Seriously?
The guy driving for Wenger that backed into my Western Star in 1990 did over $10,000 worth of damage to my truck and had a small scratch on his trailer that was only visible after we took the left fender and side of the hood from my truck off of it.
The guy driving for CR England that backed into my W9 a couple of years ago and did over $3,000 in damage to my hood didn't have a mark on his trailer not even a paint transfer after he hit me.
By the way....In both cases they were trying to leave when I chased them down and stopped them.cisco Thanks this. -
Roadmedic not trying to discredit you but I have completely totalled out a car by running over it with my tandems and the only way you could tell is if you looked really close at my tires there was a little bit of blue dust (the color of the crunched car) on them and that was all. Total damage assessment $9300.00. You can surely be involved in an accident without any damage to another vehicle.

Sounds like this guy wrecked after and needed to pin the tail on the Donkey~!

I believe it is possible the safety guy never walked out and looked at it.
Is it right to have not reported it?
Should pictures have been taken?
One will never know.
As far as damages to each vehicle, it was a generalization comment intended to show that some damage would be present on both vehicles.
Now, if the other company vehicle had an accident at a later time and was struck by a yellow painted truck and the truck this person drove was Red, it brings more to light.
Just an observation that is not always going to cover all situations, but most. -

No matter how minor, who is at fault or even if there was no damage, its still a accident & needs to be reported...
CYA everytime..... -

And a twist along the same lines...... my carrier took all cameras out of the trucks. Said they did more harm than good so now the order is to write down what you can....after all those years.
