I came home Friday night with a load of blueberry muffins in the box. Had to sit on them all weekend and deliver in Superior this morning.
Get within 100 yards of the trailer and all you could smell was blueberry.
My herd of pet deer that clean up around the grain bins must have been going nuts over the smell.
Mostly a full moon out so every time I would look out to check the light on the unit there was 3-4 deer hanging around.

Thanks. The first pics looked deceiving. The deck looks like mine. 4" high and sits on the frame. I'm trying to engineer a way to cut the supports over the frame rails and drop it down 2'' or so.

@old iron from what I understand , the owner custom orders them. We've got a trailer full back at the shop.

old iron, i once saw a headache rack that there was an L shape piece of aluminium that sat on and over the frame kinda like how some fifth wheels sit on your frame rails. Its secured to the truck by drilling holes into the side of the frame rails and the L bracket.

Well I was able to successfully deliver my two stops Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Now it's the waiting game at our west coast terminal. Slow season for everyone so I'm not that upset for having to wait for a couple peices. In my down time I've washed and polished the truck, did some housekeeping, and met up with a couple other drivers who I've gotten to be close with, so in all it was a good day today.
Hopefully later this week I'll be headed back east to the house.
Will update when I get the chance

No offense @Roadrum but when I see a company full of drivers with the anteniea laying almost flat forward on their "large cars" I don't walk but rather RUN as fast as I can away from them.

I hope all works out very well for you but in my 27+ years of driving every time I went to work somewhere because of the cool trucks it wound up being the worst job to date I had ever experienced. Big hoods with low rider seats, extended shifters, drop visors and chicken lights are cool but.............. Well, good luck and let us know a year from now when the honeymoon is over and the KoolAid is out of your system how things are there.

I've had those big hoods, low seats, tall shifters and $5,000+ worth of shiny stuff stuck all over the dash. ##### I looked good rolling down the road but I finally saw the light and went to work driving less shiny trucks then all of the sudden I had the cash to buy shiny stuff for my Harley that I could finally afford and time to go enjoy it.

I was shocked when I saw you weren't driving a stretched out long nose Pete with your super loads. I'd rather make more money and drive my prostar then make less driving a sweet expensive ride.

Big hood large cars and long, wide, ugly loads don't go together really well. Those loads are already a PITA to maneuver around without the added handicap of a large hood. Sure I'd love to look good rolling a 379 (or whatever number they're on now) extended hood but I prefer to look good rolling down the road on/in my toys. Setback front axle, fleet looking truck with a sleeper immensely larger than the 30 year out of date 63" Pete bunk made me some amazing paychecks and allows me to buy those aforementioned toys :)

Maybe I'm too new but "koolaid" ain't what I'm about. Sure the rides are cool but hats just a perk. So far I've had no complaints. Then again I'm 24, single, no kids so it's a pretty good fit. Plus all my toys are put away from the NY winter so I'll live. You do you man, no offense taken.

I'd rather make more money and not drive an international prostar :p
