It isn't either/or. There's a 7/3/7/4 rotation. Three guys, two trucks. 7/7 and 14/7 are also possible. It just depends on who's running what at whichever yard is near you. Dayton's yard is too small and Sharonville's is all-blindside, unless there's enough open space past it to turn around at that particular time. Again, your choice.

Told you so. That didn't take you long to find out for yourself what I have been saying.

Don't feel too bad about not getting on with Roehl. They are not as good as some think.

Running the 7/7, you will slip seat with another driver. We would have the truck clean, sweep out anyway, and leave notes if anything was needed on the truck. Most of the time, before loads got slow, I would get a pre-plan the day before I started and most were 2 day runs. Off 7 days is real nice, but, you will need another income. Most drivers that are doing this are retired or have another job. Get a good partner and you can leave some of your things in the truck. cb, cooler, radio.

7/3 7/4, 3 drivers with 2 trucks. Start off just like 7/7 drivers, long runs. When you end your week, you will have to clean out the truck. You will be in another one the next time out.

If you are a non-smoker, all your partners will be also.

    Good luck to you..

Gypsy .... if you had even 1 positive post about any thing I for one might heed what you say ..... Even with the problem(s) I've had, they're not as bad as you make them out to be ..... why don't you try looking at the glass as being half full some time ..... you might even be a happier person ..... I for one have gotten to the point that I just ignore what you say ..... you would find negativity about being alive .....

I've been 7/4-7/3 for over a year. This is the sole reason I went with Roehl. Driving 2.5 to 3 hours to get my truck can be a pain as well as moving in and out every seven days, but the guarenteed hometime is great. You also get real days at home instead of measuring hometime in hours. You can mitigate the moving in and out by getting yourself organized. As for miles have your facts down and don't be afraid to say something. Your dispatcher can dispatch 60 trucks better than you, but you should be able to dispatch one truck better than him.

I won't hesitate to tell people what I don't like about Roehl, but when I compare them with other companies I realize I'm better off to stay where I'm at. Many times many of us drivers are venting our frustration and this is a great place to do it.

I use to have good things to say about Roehl so you can keep your idiotic comments to yourself. You didn't walk in my shoes and what I said about them happened. If you choose not to believe what I said that's fine. Good luck to you. And if you can read you would have seen that I had good things to say about their school.

I am back out from hometime. To Roehl's and my credit, we are working to move past the bump in the road we've encountered. I've only had 3 employers in the last 15 years, so I tend to try to work things out instead of just quitting. I appreciate the fact that Roehl is working on maintaining our relationship as well. Again, if yu see truck 7916 it's me. Come say hi
