TL is among the cream of the crop as housing is concerned... four grand per month.

So how is the original poster sexystuff911 doing? Anyone know? I followed her thread from the start and come back to this thread occasionally looking for answers. I was really rooting for her, hope she's doing fine somewhere.

I'm sure she has many silent fans like me out there that would like to hear about her adventure, good or bad.

She chose one of the toughest jobs in trucking; going out to the North Dakota oil fields in the dead of winter. I have a lot of respect for anyone that does, you're a more disciplined group than most people.

I dont know, but I had one of those "sliding downhill backwards" experiences a couple of weeks ago....in Oklahoma even! Lol. That sure ain't fun...lol. I thought of this thread that night. I was able to get stopped...no damage...and I had tall dirt banks on each side vs a cliff...lol. It was still an experience that I dont care to repeat though.

    Hey Everybody!
I know it's been a long time, and I'm way overdue for an update!

The job at Rockwater Energy Solutions didn't work out. I worked so hard to prepare myself for life in ND, but I wasn't prepared for the things going on in that company. They broke my spirit, and destroyed me financially. I kept trying to stick it out to "save face" with my family. I was miserable, and I prolonged the madness.

A week after I left Rockwater, I thought I just found a new job. Instead, I found the best job of my life and a new family! The new company treats me like gold! Everybody is so caring and friendly! I look forward to work every morning, and I'm sad to leave at the end of my shift! I'm making excellent money, work regular hours, and have a whole group of people who want me to succeed! I've never been so happy in my life! They appreciate me, and I feel valued... there are both feelings that were long gone from my emotional repertoire!

I, like many of you might be planning to do, banked everything on a new start in North Dakota. If you get here, and things don't work out, don't give up! Don't stick it out at a miserable company to save face! There are plenty of jobs out here that nobody should be unhappy! And, there are jobs here for people of all skill levels and physical abilities. I'm making four times the money I was making before, and I don't even work verry hard! So, if you find yourself at a company that treats you like dirt, or doesn't pay your bills, find something better! There are plenty of awesome companies here, so nobody should have to suffer for a moment working at a place they don't like! Bite the bullet and leave! Better things are on the horizon!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about your experiences up in ND... I am planning on getting my Class A in the next month going to a school although not sure which, and I too will be a NEWBIE...have driven in snow ice rain sleet etc in a box truck and a school bus full of kids for bout 5 years...box truck about 3... and love to drive.
This story of yours has given me more courage to do this. I am now on my own and no one holding me back... hope I get to meet ya one day. Now to pick a trucking school... :yes2557:
    Thanks again!
