    @TaterFox
    Those hotdogs just make a man out of ya.
    Start with one and slowly work your way up to two or three.
    Then.. add chili, cheese, jalapenos, relish packets, Tapatio sauce.

    It's like a slow crescendo...
    Ending periodically in a violent eruption.

    I like the part where the guy paid by mile is volunteered for free labor doing parts of shipper/receiver, dispatcher, truck stop jobs.

    Living like a stray dog, as my dad called it. You don't know where you will sleep or what/if you will eat.

    The parking is the issue for me. I don't do ramps and I can't sleep properly if I know I am not in a legal spot and might get a knock on the door at stupid o clock.

    My stress levels increase when I know I am heading into an area with sparse parking and I won't get there early enough.

    Though some would disagree, I suppose, but in order to alleviate said stress, I plan ahead ESPECIALLY when dealing with slim parking areas. I'll either a) reserve a spot where I know I'll be exhausting my 11 or 14, or b) I'll allot an hour of my drive to start searching for said safe parking. With Schneider when I did Van, I would purposely shorten my call in by 45 minutes to give myself enough time to search for that fabled unicorn parking spot.

    Everyone has different opinions. Life as an OTR driver is really going to be what you make it. Sounds cliche but it’s true. I could not make it without my iPhone and tablet. I constantly listen to Pandora and news. I get out of my truck as much as possible. Especially if I’m near something amazing like the desert.
