If you drive a company vehicle that is under 10,001 pounds,(like a 1/2 ton pick-up) can you be on duty and drive for more than the 11 hours driving rule in a 14hour day and be off duty for less than the 10 hours rest rule before starting a new shift?

You sound like a blacktop paving tool truck to me. We taint logged nothing in our time doing that.
As the other poster stated, if you are hired to haul a half ton of... widgets from Little Rock to say... Louisville KY overnight and paid for it to make a living doing that, yes you are involved in interstate commerce and will be logging etc etc etc.
But if you are just going to a little job site like paving a driveway or building a pool or something down in the next county, no. Your time clock will be your hours. Not the log book.
Your truck, your private property which you OWN is NOT subject to rules. -
Key word is commercial NOT cargoScout76 Thanks this.
