The guy I sold my house to has a 13k tax bill and my tax bill was 9k and I honestly didn't saw the value in it not to mention the tax increases coming this year, I can work a week and cover all my monthly expenses all the rest is just profit and savings for rainy days

Everybody I talked to in Rahway is paying between 8 and 12 k in property taxes. My boss was around 10k.

So you think I will make enough money with them dispatching me to cover the weekly deductions such as the lease payments and the new little suv monthly payments because of the holes in the parking lot and other life expenses like ridiculously high rent for a Tristate area one bedroom apartment more than a house mortgage ?

Yes but then again is up to you and your work ethics, but the work is there it's up to you to haul it. Poor work ethics and not knowing what you are doing is the main reason why people fail in this business

^^^^^ THIS. No matter the state you live in, it's one's 'state of affairs' while working with tanks..... couldn't've said that better myself.

Kudos on your new digs, man. I've been off the grid for awhile, still yanking tanks tho~! :)

    scythe08 and FatTony_718 Thank this.

1For me its simple I pick loads that I get to offload (pump or compressor ) pay more and it makes it easier for your dispatcher to get you loads,
    2. only deadhead if I'm going home if I'm over the road after I finish I head to the nearest terminal and start working on my next load make friends and get their phone numbers so you can roll right after your 10 hours. 35 cents a mile for deadheading is bs.
    3. Dont buy unnecessary stuff like chrome or make your truck more comfortable than your house.
4.Have metal buckets and spills always
    5. Be friendly to the tankwash people they can make or break your day.
    6. Its the summer hydrate I had a trainee ready to pass on me because he had the rubber suit.
    7. Avoid hauling latex unless it will lead you to a better paying load.
    8. Protect your fittings with your life the are expensive and you can lose a load for not having one.
That's all I can think of from the top of my head if I miss something please add it

We haul a lot of latex, but it limits what you can load after. Almost 70% of our loads are latex, but we have lots of round trips and one ways that we can load. Chemical shippers don't like to load after latex especially solvents, unless they line having latex floating in the tank.
