Grumpy if you are still monitoring this thread that you started, even though it no longer relates to your original post, three radios come to mind that produce the 100 or so watts you are looking for. First the Galaxy DX 47 HP , next is the General lee HP 40, finally the Magnum Raptor which is rather unique because it has a RFX 75 installed that can either be turned on or you can turn it off and just run radio as a standard 30 to 40 watt dual final radio. I used one in my pickup for a while and really liked it, good transmit, good recieve, loud modulation. One more radio is the Stryker 955 that some of the members are using, it produces around 70 watts which should be more than enough to talk.

The point is this put Craig's 955 Stryker in probably any truck but a cascadia and a 15 to 20 mile talk receive range is probably easily attainable which is pretty good for out here on the road and a barefoot radio that's had the right work done to it... meaning Mark's work.... the reason I get better range than most is not my radios it's I've got alot more grounding on my truck !!!!! These trucks literally have no grounding... like friggin none
