I suppose passing on my secrets to help someone that needs help is better than having a 500 watt radio that talks 30 miles and being obsessed with trying to convince folks they should listen to my advice and convince them that my unfounded opinions are the gospel and anyone who says otherwise is spewing BS and full of crap.

It should be fairly obvious to anyone with common sense that following in your footsteps isn't exactly the most economical way to enjoy the hobby.
    (to put it politely)

CB has it's place and ham radio has it's place. It's not really about power, it's about propagation. I have over 125 countries worked with less than 5w, and over 300 worked with less than 100w on ham radio, all with stock, unmodified radios. Over 200 of those were done with a simple multi-band vertical antenna in the back yard.

Yep so if one could do that without a kicker...why would you need one just to talk local.

Sorry with you it's always been jealously of my equipment sorry you can't afford the $1500 or whatever Mark would charge you for a 500 watt radio. If I was ever anywhere near you I would never hear your radio I'd be walking all over you....your 45 mile radio deal is not relavent to any of us out here. Jason is the one talking on the cobra your talking on a magnum... sorry but no one cares because it's not relavent to any of us... truth hurts buddy lmao at you as always. Good day sir I said good day....!!!!!!!!!!!
