Stay Away from Link America- liars and cheaters, equipment is JUNK, dispatch is a joke,unless you like running illegal,driving junk and putting up with crap,

 

I just bumped into a driver that was at my last carrier, which got bought up by Link. I jumped ship before the buy, but he stayed. He is having to do the legal fight to get back the bulk of the 401K money he had invested. He is not a happy camper. Link bought up Mike Brooks, Inc, then screwed all the drivers there when they dumped it off to Martin out of Michigan. Heard it was a real mess. I saw the writing on the wall prior to Brooks selling out, so I got out while the getting was good. Sure dodged that bullet.

 

Got fired from Link America 31 Aug 2011, Been home three days and have the most sleep I've had all month. They require you to have a cell phone but will not reimburst you for it. My dispatcher (Jan Darr) would call me when she knows I'm asleep in order to give in on a pre-plan. She would get angry when I turn the thing so I could sleep. She also likes to tell drivers when they need to end their breaks and come back on duty. The compay was recently purchased by an investment group and before I left I had a pretty good conversation, along with about 4 other drivers, with one of the new owners. May things change for the better...

Link America Dedicated has HQ in Tulsa,OK with a sand hauling operation at John Hardie factory in Sparks,Nv and OTR elsewhere. I've driven for a number of good outfits. These guys will fire you without progressive discipline, hold up your pay until the State Labour Board forces it from them, use poor/ illegal equipment and lie, cheat and steal from a driver. I did the local deal from Hawthorne to Sparks and got terminated without proper cause, notice, grievance process or pay, by a Mr. "moron-zetti" some ignorant jerk I'd never met, even on the phone. They "confiscated" $2387 of pay due within 72 hrs of termination. I had no accidents, was never written up, never verbally warned, never late or absent from work, working 60 hrs+ weekly with lousy equipment. I was productive, pleasant, legal and did all what they asked. None of that mattered. I am welcome back with my prior company anytime with an excellent record, thankfully. U.I. Commission and Nevada Labour Board have helped immensely but I'm still out a couple hundred bucks. As a driver with many safe years in Canada and the U.S. let me warn you clearly. Link America is just the absolute WORST. BTW, another driver at Link Am (another driver who does conscientous work) has been $500 behind in pay for weeks and is also going to Labour Board. There is zero driver support as they have NO ETHICS. Don't sign on with Link America...YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

 

For starters, I don't work at Link America and never have, but I know that this is a questionable post because they are no longer in Tulsa, OK. Our billing now goes to Ft Worth for the work we did. Tulsa was sent to Ft Worth a few months ago...

So we can only take your rant with a grain of salt. Sorry.
