Good luck with that. You might get away with it, but with the interconnected databases you will be unlikely to.
For example when the new employer gives your name to the insurance company.....

Okay, I have a little sympathy here for being paired with what sounds like a possible nightmare co driver but..... At this stage of the game I'm tired of people still using I was out of work due to covid excuse. You took this job 2 weeks ago and almost every company in the US has been begging for workers for the last year and a half. That's not just trucking that's every occupation. If you wanted to work you'd have been working somewhere doing something. Everytime I read or hear something like this I automatically think they're playing the covid blame game because they're upset they aren't getting free government money anymore and discovered they've got to go back to work.

I hope you get a better job quickly but you should've spent that free time you had not working and looked a little harder at getting a better job than a 1099 scam. I'm not trying to be a total di*k but I've heard the covid excuse too many times. It's not March 2020 anymore. "That dog won't hunt any longer."

Do you actually work for FedEx or a contractor for FedEx CC. To my knowledge FedEx CC doesn’t have any co trucks.

If that’s the case the contractor would have to report to Dac and I doubt they would.

I never had free time. I was recovering from hospilization. You do know that Covid is still out here and we are still in a pandemic right? I was working until I got Covid in Sept got out of hospital Oct recovering with low oxygen levels Nov, Dec, now trying to work. Levels better but still have bouts of shallow breathing and afraid of some jobs that won’t take my current med card or anything physical. Blew through savings while all this was going on, never got unemployment still fighting for it. I wish this was March 2020 because i would’ve been able to recover without the stress of no financial help.

My apologies for that. I do hope you get something better. I know it's not an easy thing to go through with some I know that have had it. Some are worse off than others. Where were you working at before? Are they unwilling to hire you back? There are drivers on here that have had covid and their companies brought them back in after being cleared. Did you have benefits there? If short term disability was offered always take it. That goes for anyone. Someone better than a 1099 company should be willing to give you a shot. Have you checked with any reputable companies about working for them? You need to make those phone calls yourself and try to find a better employer. The only way you're going to know if they'll take your med. card is to call and ask.

If your still having health issues I'd be going the doctor and trying to get on some assistance if you can't breathe right. If you can't breathe do you think you should be or want to be on the road? I do wish you well.

I was a delivery driver operating a box truck from 08/2020- 01/2022. I was just recently let go due to reorganizing. How can I get back into this profession. Possibly upgrade to getting my class A and seeing the world.
