You can get a free copy of your DAC each year, just like a credit report. It is probably a good idea to keep a check on it. Sometimes things can be misreported.

Listen I had a crappy company put B.S. on my DAC I disputed it and in 36 days it was removed. Do not give up fight for the truth, it is not that hard to get it removed as some believe. Send me a personal message if any one has a false dac report and I will try and help you with it if I can. (Free of course)

 

If the unfavorable report is true, you cannot get it removed. You didn't mention what was on your DAC that you wanted to keep from potential employers, but the best thing might be to just be up front with any company to whom you are applying and try to put a positive spin on it. There are some things such as abandonment that are difficult to over come. Even if a company doesn't use DAC, they will still need to check your previous employment. We are required by federal law to check the last 3 years. Some will go back further, especially if something shows up on your DAC.
