Lets start a list of known common creeper DOT roadside check points thoughout the US. This can help us with our routing, and if we can, avoid some of these inspection points.

Around here, anyplace there is a truck, and a place for the DOT to pull them over. They can be anywhere, seldom see them twice in the same spot, except the Chicken Coops.

Wish there were more and then the JUNK on the roads would be removed

Any road in NY that has enough space to pull a truck over, in combination with a bored state trooper. Oh wait, were you looking for fixed places? Well, any rest area/parking area in NY can become a weigh station. Watch for the yellow signs out with orange flags on top, 1/4 mile from the entrance. Some are hotter spots than others, but all are suspect. Route around at your own risk, NY has a little known overall length of 65', on state routes (doesn't technically apply to US Routes or Interstates but they've been known to ticket for it anyway).

Best tip for NY...run at night. They don't keep those things open much past 4:30pm, except in the summer months, and then they knock off at dusk for the most part.
