    Happy new year everyone,

does anyone have a go to list of paperwork that has to be renewed each new year? I just got hit with my trailer not being registered bc it expired the end of the year. I’m going to review all my paperwork but if anyone has a list that would be awesome.

All of it.... you should keep a permit book with all required paperwork in it. Flip through really quick, takes 5 minutes, and you can double check yourself once a month to be sure.

Get you a trailer plate that doesn’t expire every year. I think you can get up to 12 years for next to nothing from Maine. I bought a lifetime plate from Ky for about $100 but every year I have to give proof to the county clerk that it travelled Interstate. This is required to not owe any property taxes. It would probably be easier to just pay a little more to a state like Maine and not worry about it.

    There is one.

Your company has to issue you a form to fill out certifying you have not had any violations in the past year. Otherwise you listed the violations you have had then.

Ah i didnt realize you could register the trailer in a different state. You dont need a state ID for the state youre registering in?
