List of trucking companies that scam a driver on per diem pay

    Not only does it lower your pay the per diem is tax deductible. If the company pays you in per diem rather than the full wage they get you to work for $.19 per mile and THEY get the tax deduction. If you opt out or only work for companies that don't pay per diem you get full pay and YOU get the tax deduction.....companies that pay per diem are beating you to death unless it is the full amount allowed by the IRS on TOP of your normal pay.

    SRT is mandatory per diem for new drivers as of 8/2012 and the new drivers can opt out after 90 days which is your probation period. Why they have a probation period for experienced drivers is another $64,000.00 question. But if you think you're gonna get a raise after the 90 days are up, think again. You have to be there a year to get a raise of a few pennies. Most new drivers will never last a year unless they like being talked to like they're slaves instead of employee's. If you are a new driver for them and your dispatcher is Treston Y. you better get another one fast, he's the worst dispatcher that I know of there.
