I know there are alot of companies out west...wonder if anyone could start a list of good companies and the ones to stay away from..just trying to put best chances on my side..dont want to waste my time for "fly-by-night" deals..thought it would be cool to get an updated version in the same place so dont have to look all over the place..just 3-5 names for each catagory is good..maybe add scale 1-10..10 being best..pretty sure this would help me and many more here..thx for input..

I think this is a great idea!............. we have lists on here for good and bad "starter companies".......... why not one that focuses on the oil fields (maybe lumping in SD,and TX together)

Oxy= best. #1 oil producer in Texas

you said "oil companies", but are you sure that's what you meant? or do you just mean "oil related companies", including the many service companies which is where most all of the driving jobs are?

Just trying to make it simple-want info on oilfield companies in ND or Texas who hire any personnel...can be for drivers or crews, etc, hauling oil,water,sand,gasoline..or working on rigs..hiring experienced people or newbies...just put 3 good and 3 bad and rating from 1-10...not looking for stories and nightmares..just ratings and also location of these companies..thx

Guess you haven't spent much time in TX.. This list would run into the thousands quite quickly. What skills do you possess?? What can you bring to the job?? What are your interests? How harsh an environment can you stand to work/live in?? Do you have to be near airport to fly home every few weeks? Like the sea or inland? That is the best way to see where and what companies are going to be in the area you may settle in. Lot on money to be made just taking care of workers. If you have restaurant experience and start new cafe or even food truck in right place you will clean up. Welding at mfg. No field work. Home every night. Supply FR clothing/boots etc.The list goes on like a roll of TP.
