Was wondering what everyone's favorite to listen to. We do like what we like, but no one can listen millions of songs/melodies to find something appealing. I thought if forum participants will share a bit, it might help others to find something new and interesting without shoveling too much.

I like Electronic, New Age, Psychedelic tunes, Once I was recommended couple of songs, I listen to them like forever, kind of like Koan "Odysseus under the tree" and "The silence is speaking" type of things. But many more of coarse)

    Anyone wish to share?

My music interests and tastes are a bit eclectic. I listen to basic rock and roll, soul and pop music from the late 60's to the mid 90's, contemporary and regular jazz, new age, classical and I've been known to jam out to zydeco, country and even dance/trance stuff. All depends on my mood. One of the reasons I like my SiriusXM.
I'm also somewhat of a music collector and have about 500 or so albums worth of music on my tablet (I have alot more albums and CDs I haven't ripped in yet too).
I tend to kinda match my music to the scenery I'm driving through and my mood at the time. I'm particularly fond of listening to new age music when I traveling through the majestic scenery that is fairly common in the West. Just kind of enhances the awe of the beauty of it all.
My favorite new age artist is Andreas Vollenweider. If you haven't heard any of his stuff before, highly encourage you tomcheck him out. Other favorites are Alan Parsons, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Herb Albert, Lee Ritenour, AL Jarraeu, Joe Sample, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and others of course.
One of the things I do like about driving is being able to listen to music and to simply think about things.
Lastly, I don't just listen to music while I drive. Frequently listen to news or sports events. I haven't really gotten into audio books, but many drivers commonly listen to them. I just strongly prefer a real book. So, usually drop off the ones I've read and grab a few more everytime I'm home. I like science fiction, science history and biographies of historical scientists.

I do totally, 100% agree with this message! I do too listen anything in between while at those mood swings, but there are some things, that I come back to time and time again, cuz they are emotionally created and create emotions)

One thing I really like is when one group does a cover of something from a completely different genre. Like turning a pop song into metal, or metal into country, etc.

This is one of my favorites, the group Apocalyptica doing an instrumental cover of an old Metallica song:

Enter songs or groups you like into YouTube and then listen to the mix hat YouTube generates. Same with Pandora. Both will show you songs and artists similar to the songs you entered. Then try other songs from the new groups that show up in your mix. Both YouTube mixes and Pandora are free even though they boh advertise endlessly about their subscription (no ads) service. I don't pay subscriptions.
