Hello I am a little confused and need the expertise of trying to sort it all out, I am 48 and live in Jackson, Michigan and am in need of a career change. I recently contacted Schneider National Carriers and explained to them I am in need of a career change, they had a man call me from TDI Truck driving school I looked online and found several complaints about this company TDI. The school is on the Mich/Indiana border by South Bend,IN does anyone or can anyone tell me anything about this training center, are they good or are they a scam from all that I have heard about some of these schools is that they take your money and leave you empty handed.
And if this school is not good can anyone recommend me in the direction of a good school maybe one to where the company pays for the training and one that I would have work for them for a year or so, thank you for your help and to this forum it is a great tool.

You are going to find complaints about every school, and trucking company.
Do your best to avoid CRST and CR England as for your starting companies. If Schneider is advising TDI, it means they have had decent results from that school on the students they hire. Did you ask about tuition reimbursement from Schneider? I don't know if the training companies are still doing the reimbursement thing or not...just asking. -

I know they can get you going with USA trucking. USA will pay for your schooling, and housing I believe if you will sign a 1 year contract. I almost went this route but decided to pay out of pocket to Sage instead. They have a school in Indianapolis. C1. -
Thank you I will ask Schneider about the reimbursement, thanks a lot for the reply.
