    Hello every one.
I'm a little bummed out, it seems to me that all the company's out there suck.
The ones I wanted to go with have nothing but people saying stay away and nightmare, is there any good ones that wont treat you like a pile?
when I worked for Penske I talked to a few Stevens guys and they loved it and said would never leave I remember now that I think about it I talked to a swift driver he said I love it.
Or is it just the people... now before any one flames me I'm not saying any one is lying or belly aching, but like who I work for now I hate them with every fiber of my being and so does every one that works with me, people are leaving left and right but when I talk to other drivers form other parts of the US they tell me you couldn't put hooks in my jaw and drag me away.
I'm not asking for a gold 379 here I just want some one I can work with who wont screw me, get good miles get home more then once every 4 months and maybe a few critter comforts thats all. I'm really looking for a way out of this hell hole of a town.
Sorry if I sound so crummy or maybe I'm taking things the wrong way
who would be good to go with who wont treat me like big stinky pile and wont stick me in some broken down POS that penske keeps together with a glue stick and some tape hehe J/k J/k. Any input would be great thank yall very much

What Ive learned (5+ years) is what do you want? Do you want to be home every couple days, or weeks, or even weekends? What lanes do you want to drive? Want to take a pet or passenger? Once you answer all of the questions that you need- then you can start narrowing down what companies offer you those needs!!! Some people complain about Swift, yet Swift is perfect for others, depending on there needs.... That is my view... Not all companies are for everyone, just find the one for you. good luck:biggrin_25525:

TNR one driver might love the company he/she is with and the next would say don't go there. Granted some companies are better than others, but being a newbie there isn't many choices to get started with. I'm in the process of starting over in trucking and had to go with CR England. I lucked out and have to pay $500 for their refresher course( full school) . I have to go out with a trainer from 10 to 28 days. After I get the loan paid off (10 weeks) I'll take a look at my options. No Lease Purchase isn't one of them. :biggrin_25525:

Like some have said different strokes for different folks. What you may love some one else hates. You didn't say where you live but i would find a company that runns allot of freight into my area or runns allot of freight thru the area i live. When me and my wife first got married she lived in portland i drove for Arrow out of tulsa so i would never get thru Portland so we moved to Oklahoma whic is my home anyway and that way i got thru the house or home allot more. Thats what you have to look at is what it is that makes YOU happy and find that company that will work with you and keep you that way i have had several companies that did that for awhile but then one thing or another would come up like new dispatcher or realigning company or some such stuff and i would have to go job hunting again. It make take a while and it depends allot on where you like to run and how i like long west coast frieght and that is hard to get unless your willing to go east and get it and i figure the US ends in Virginia anything East of there is foriegn land as far i'm concerned any more had my fill of NYC along time ago.

Scuby, you did well by paying only 500 for retraining. I think that is about what one will pay at Salt Lake Community College to take their refresher course. I hope it goes well for you the second time at CRE.

I do have a question, though. Did you drop big bucks the first time you went to trucking school? I did. I hope you were spared that reaming.

thanks, for the input and info I live in Lubbock aka the arm pit of Texas. But I want to move to Oregon. I was thinking of going with some one out of Oregon if they would hire me being from Texas I don't know. I know i see tons of Stevens and CR trucks in Lubbock every truck stop will have about 6 of them siting at them at all most any time. so they run threw Lubbock a bunch why or where they are going I don't know thats why I wanted to go with Stevo I see them around a lot so I thought I might get to see the fam more. Do trucking company's care if you move to another state once you start working for them or would they even care? and I don't want to go east I want to go west more then any thing.
