Back to the pdf point -- you may be able to find an app that lets you fill out and sign with the stylus. It isn't something I investigated, but it may be worth spending a little time in the Google play store if doing it all on your phone is important.

As for internet, I use the PDAnet app to turn my phone into a hotspot. No additional subscription required, though the app does have a small 1 time cost to unlock the full version. And it uses your existing data plan...

 

I use the Significant app on the Galaxy Note 2 to sign my documents. I also use a free jpg to pdf app to convert images to pdf. I have the CamScanner app to scan all of my paperwork. This along with my phone e-mail gives me a totally paperless office. I can sign documents, convert virtually any file and send it back to customers or brokers. I don't need a fax machine, scanner and best of all it's all free. It may take you a little time to get used to the app but it's better than lugging an all in one printer around or paying $2 per page at a truck stop.

 

That's really nifty. I tried it out and works like a champ. I knew the stylus was there and knew you could play around with photos making jokes and such but never really occured to me about signing documents. Funny how sometimes a solution is right in front of you but you are blind to see it. So now signing confirms and getting them back out can be done in under a minute. Instead of a 15 minute exercise boot up computer and printer, print, sign, scan - that's 15 agonizing slow minutes on a good day...

 

Also, to speed the process with setting up with new clients, I scan my authority, insurance, w-9 into a single pdf file with the CamScanner App. The w-9 doesn't have to have the exact date just as long as it's signed with your information for the current tax year. I send this file immediately after they send the master contract over to fill out, that way we are both working to setup at the same time.

 

Hey i have a Note 4 what exactly app do you have could you send me a pic of them and i could figure it out from there thanks alot for the help that I'm getting ..I'm new to this and it's hard to get set up and being on the road at the same time and I'm missing loads because i have to wait to get home and send everything that they need ...

 

From a laptop, there is no need to print and rescan with adobe acrobat either -- just upload a picture of your signature and use that:

You can also do the same thing with a photo of a voided check for those wanting to set up direct deposit.

 

Sometimes the simplest of things I have no clue how to do or never really wondered how mostly out of laziness. People in our office electronically sign everything. I'll have to play around with acrobat. I get in habits and don't change them. Self taught with most of what I do on a computer, not a genius by any stretch, but can do what I need to or figure it out without much trouble. Just point and click until it does what you need...

You need to drop by the office, distract BBB with something shiny, and swipe one of his Surface Pro tablets. Full Windows OS and instant on and the thing is the size/weight of a clipboard. I got one for my son to replace his throw away laptop and he's loving it.

Tell him it's for "evaluation" purposes.
