That’s because they use chemicals to burn everything off, and as a result it streaks your aluminum.

When I ran Cali I never had much luck at Sisters, but the Truck Tub up in Tulare never let me down. My aluminum was always polished so I shied away from Blue Beacon, regardless of their wheel covers one flip of the wrong switch and your aluminum was white.

I did go to the Beacon in West Memphis once. They streaked my wheels bad. When I complained I got the “they were like that when you came in” so I asked to speak to the manager. I showed him a pic of my truck on my phone from the day before all polished out. He apologized and shut down one bay while his guys polished my truck. He went above and beyond when most guys would tell you to get bent. I called their corporate office in Salina the next day. I didn’t mention the circumstances, only that they had a real standup manager at West Memphis and he was a great asset to their company.

You haven't had but 1 wash there then. It's called the streakin beacon for a reason.

Every time I get a wash at one, my polished aluminum looks like hell.

I go all the time. I tell them truck and trailer wash with brightener and rain-x. Sometimes full service on truck and wash and brightener only on the trailer wheels.

Sad state of affairs isn't it? We bring in the money to these businesses, and they price gouge, are as rude, disrespectful, ignorant, and down right not understanding as to how customer service really works. This is why i refuse to use any travel plaza that charges for parking, has reserve parking for those techno people who need to be in a space before the solar panels on their trucks run down (before sun goes down). It is a crying shame what the industry has come too.

In Eloy, Az the Streakin Beacon is in conjunction with the polish shops that either are still there or use to be there. Money making scheme. Almost as bad as the Government. They all have a hand in our pockets.

Yep, and I just went through that scam about 2 months ago at the beacon at eloy.

I stopped in the beacon at effingham couple weeks back and I had to polish my tanks soon as I got home due to the streaks.

I am glad i carry my own supplies (polish, buffer, soft rags, etc). I like the money i make to stay in my pocket as much as possible. Paying an absorbent amount of extra costs is just bad business.

I agree. I usually do all my own polishing. I dont have my buffer with me though. Sometimes I wish I did though.

Kind of like pulling into Wildwood and seeing the sign that says they’re not responsible for any damage to your aluminum.

I usually paid to have my aluminum done a couple times a year and then I’d keep up on it by hand in between. There was a guy in Wildwood who was really good with stainless so he got to do my trailer and all the stainless on the truck once a year.

    Looks great!

Same here. I usually use a guy around home that's great, but hes not always around when I am...so sometimes I just do it myself. Like you say, bout 2 times a year is what I shoot for.
