Believe it or not...when we were looking at trucks to buy I would notice BOTH of those things for the WRONG reasons. I know full well what they are for, but also know that not all trucks have them. I insisted that we have the little window because we have 2 mini-dachshunds that ride with us and LOVE to lay right there and look out the window. And the mirror? I'ts a safety thing, obviously, but I always figured it was put there simply to prevent the rider from taking a decent picture out that window. Do you know how HARD it is to get a picture WITHOUT that mirror or any of the others smack in the middle of the picture? IMPOSSIBLE!

I do that a lot, ....... forget.
Memory, ........ second thang to go
don't'cha know.
I'm not sure what it is that I forgot,
so I can't be sure I ever knew.
But thanx for remindin' me.
On the subject of becomin' offended,
easily or not so easily,
I did notice some offendin' goin' on a page or two ago.
But I haven't observed any since.
I noticed you mentioned that you don't become offended easily.
I'm sorta exactly, kinda, the same way myself, ..........
Only different.

It's hard to easily offend me and
easy to hardly offend me.

Some folks think thinkin' like that is odd.
I'm startin' to see why.
Oddly enough, I don't disagree.

I rember that kw 600 i think it was , came up with idea with , what i call the dogleg window, the front part of the window on the front lower dip down , instead of going straight across, i really like that for angle backing,

Ya, those can be had on the T8 and W9 as well. It gives you a nice armrest. I think they're all like that now?

The window was never expected to spend the rest of it's days in the passenger door. It is only a temporary "plug" if you will. The little window in the passenger door was invented so that the drivers could pop it out and put a doggie door in so that their pets could enter and exit the truck as needed.
Well some drivers didn't have pets, so they decided to just leave the windows in. Well, someone decided finally that they were a good idea, you know, for safety. And a proclamation was exclaimed that all warm blooded animals will enter and exit through the man openings in all CMV's and in doing so made doggie doors illegal. Anyone who now operates a CMV with one can now be ticketed, fined, and given an O/S until corrections are made.
Personally, I think it was because too many dogs were jumping out, while the trucks were going down the road at 65mph. I mean, you know... -
